On the first two broadcasts Albert Nicholas was still the band's clarinetist but he was replaced by Edmond Hall for the session of September 6th and all the following broadcasts. Nick left the show with some bad feeling towards Rudy Blesh which is reported here.... September 6th was to be the guest spot for Bunk Johnson but that did not transpire due to arrival problems.
