Billie Pierce was born Wilhemina Goodson in Pensacola, Florida in 1906. She was self taught, despite the fact that her parents both played piano, as did her seven sisters. The two most famous of the sisters were Ida, who is still playing in Pensacola, and Sadie who still plays in New Orleans. Billy played and sang with Picou, Emile Barnes and George Lewis even before she married Joseph LaCroix "De De" Pierce....
