The River Road Ramblers are a traditional bluegrass band with vocal harmony and hard driving rhythm reminiscent of the forties and fifties. That said, the group does feature renditions written by band members which fit the image. All band members live in the New Orleans area within a few miles of the Great River Road which runs parallel to the Mississippi River - hence their name. The River Road Ramblers bluegrass band is a minority in a region where jazz, blues and Cajun music are an overwhelming influence.
